  1. I think that depends on the cooler.  I have a couple of small coolers and the ice always melts in a day or so.  I have a large cooler that's guaranteed for the ice not to melt in less than three days, and it usually doesn't.

  2.   Hi!!  I have never use it but i have seen it used for the old ice cream vending tricycles, and i would have thought days in the plural will be a bit ambitious. Some one else may have an answer for you i hope.

  3.   I have never used dry ice, and I'm the camp cook, for wilderness camping.  I use a small cooler, that fits inside a big cooler.  Fill and freeze the little cooler with things that won't be used for the first few days.  Then, put the cooler in a deep freeze.  When you are ready to go, put little cooler in big cooler, and fill big cooler with the stuff you'll use in first few days.  The stuff in little cooler will still be frozen in 4-5 days.  Unless you open it.

  4. Don't know nothing about dry ice, but they now make 5 and 7 day coolers. Water ice guaranteed for 5 or 7 days.

    (With a little care)

Look for the 5 day at wal-mart and other retail stores that have camping departments.

The five day Coleman coolers are a light blue/gray

The seven day Coleman coolers are white, I believe.
