How many deaths have been reported from falling from the tepozteco in mexico??

  1. it depend on doing what as the cause of death, Tepozteco is a great place to do some light rock climbing (el dado, el pico de aguila, etc) and in that fashion there has been a couple of deaths reported, I believe there's been 2 in Meztitla (Scouts de Mexico's camping site) and others in the outsides of the camping site, in the piramids there has been no reports yet, but there's some reports of people dissappearing or getting lost in the hills.

  2. My guess is no deaths, because if there had been one, they would have closed it to climbing.

    That's what happened at El Castillo in Chichen Itza.  An eighty year old woman was descending when she slipped and tumbled to the ground.  Her death made the officials at the park put chains across the stairways to keep people off the pyramid.  I guess they fear being sued by the family of the deceased.

  3. I don't know, but most large pyramids are very steep in Mexico, and the steps are very narrow.
