  1. 1 degree Fahrenheit equals -17.7778 degrees Celsius

  2. -17.2222222 degrees Celsius

  3. five-ninths

  4. Each degree Celsius difference is 9/5 degrees Fahrenheit.  But when you go between them, you have to remember also that 0 Celsius starts from the same place as 32 Fahrenheit.

  5. t=5/9*(F-32)

                or

         △t = 5/9*△F

When the temperature is one degree Fahrenheit,

    1 Fahrenheit ≈ -17.222 degree Celsius

If the temperature change is one degree Fahrenheit, it's

    5/9 degree Celsius.
