  1. 360

  2. Mathematically there are infinite points on the compass.

There are 32 points on the compass rose.  There are 16 named points on the compass --- N, NNE, NE, ENE, E, ESE, SE, SSE, S, SSW, SW, WSW, W, WNW, NW, NNW.  There are 360 degrees on the compass with North at 0 degrees, South at 180 degrees, East at 90 degrees and West at 270 degrees.

  3. i believe a 'point' is considered 12..5 degrees.

CAPT BILL is correct, i am wrong.  A point is 11.25 degrees.

  4. good' ol cat 38 is right that there are 32 points; and Capt Bill is right that each point is 360/32 = 11.25 degrees

and much as I hate wikipdia, here's a good link to all 32 points that expands on cat's answer:

  5. There is 11.25 degrees to one point.

    Simple math -  360 degrees divided by 32 points = 11.25 degrees.
