  14. 2  When I graduated from Navy "A" school in Memphis TN. I requested any place on the west coast.  My assignment was a carrier squadron at NAS Cecil Field in Jacksonville FL.  I was off and on different carriers till I received orders to NAS Lemoore CA.  Lemoore was so new that no one on the ship knew where I was going.
