  1. Yellow Jersey - overall leader

Green Jersey -  most consistant rider (sometimes called the sprinters jersey)

Polka Dot Jersey - King of the mountains (best Climber)

White Jersey - best young rider (under 25 years of age)

Since today was the first stage the winner of the stage Valverde gets Yellow and Green.  He will wear yellow Sunday and todays second place rider will wear the Green.

  2. Four jerseys:

    Yellow - overall leader

Green - points leader (sprinters jersey)

    Polka-dot - climbing leader

White - best young rider (lowest overall time for any rider under 25)

There is also a red number given out each day for the most agressive rider from the previous day.
