Most golf balls on sale today have about 300 - 450 dimples. There were a few balls having over 500 dimples before. The record holder was a ball with 1,070 dimples -- 414 larger ones (in four different sizes) and 656 pinhead-sized ones. All brands of balls, except one, have even-numbered dimples. The only odd-numbered ball on the market is a ball with 333 dimples, called the Srixon AD333.

Typically, 300 - 500, depending upon the model. 336 seems to be cited as a typical average.

The number varies from 252 dimples on the Titleist DT Carry to 1070 dimples on the Dimplit 1070.

The dimples help the ball travel further and higher.

Between 300 and 400 on average.  I play Nike balls.  The Juice ball has 312 dimples.  The Nike One Black & Platinum have 336.  The Nike Mojo 3 has 432 dimples.  Depending on the kind of ball it is, the dimple count will be different.

Nike Power distance power soft have 432 dimples, nike power distance power flight have 422 dimples... other golf ball now normally have 300 - 400 dimples, for example Titlest pro-v1 have 392 dimples and titleist pro-v1x have 332 dimples.
