18 At the moment, 1 Doberman and 17 chihuahuas (but 10 of them are babies I will find new homes for when they are old enough!)

we only have one now, our other angel passed away two days ago. We used to have as many as 4. We lost one every year for the past three years. They were older dogs. We have 5 cats now though. We stay steady at around 6 animals. If an animal happens to come to our doorstep, we don't turn them away. We have the land, some dog and cat food, and we some how make ends meet when we need to take them to the vet.

Two.  We have a German Shepherd that we adopted from the humane society--she was rescued from a puppy mill.  We also have a mixed breed, probably with a lot of Husky in her, that was a stray.
