Not cars; drivers.

he reason I ask is that i was made aware today that every ten years we have to exchange our photo ID's. At £17.50 a pop, do you realise how much this comes to a year?

  1. Im sure its around 31 Million i read recently.

  2. Well, I'm one...and I know several more...and I saw lots of them today, so I'd say, a fair amount.  But honestly, how do you expect any of us to know?

Best google one of the statistic sites, they may be able to enlighten you.

  3. I'm a driver in the UK...lol

  4. a lot

  5. Loads, and I agree paying for a 10 year renewal is a rip off, and most likely in 2010 when my needs renewing, it will go up from £17.50.

  6. 20 Million ?

  7. maybe over 1000,0000,0000

  8. Hello,

The photograhps cost £4.00 in England at a local photographic booth, such as a 'Photo-me', but these are optional, you can photograph yourself, providing the prints meet the governments set strict requirements.

The DVLA do not usually ask you to update photos, it may be reccomended, but I have not heard of it so far yet.

There are many drivers, and many types of vehicles. Cars, coaches, buses, minibuses, taxis. Car's pollute the environment, and there are a lot of bad drivers out there!

They should be forced to take re-tests.

I'd imagen there would be thousands, perhaps even a Million at least.
