What about the Amazon Jungle, half is gone since 1930s since industrialization started climaxing off.  Maybe there were plant's that cure cancer or Indian tribes that are like the bush tucker man, sharing the knowledge of Amazonian flora and fauna.  Things change I just, it's just hard to know if anything will be left of natural resources and people or animals.
