  1. Just one or two.  They just keep making new profiles.

  2. You'll find a specific count if you check out the boards that Pap's and Ap's use for emotional support.

Some are actually trying to coordinate a protest march for their "right?" to adopt kidnapped kids from Guatemala. I don't think it gets more ignorant then them trying to plan it on the same day as the mothers of "missing" Guatemalan children are protesting to have their children "found?".

SSHHH. Keep it out of the papers.

    Edit:

Googly eyes in your case it would probably be a simple visit to the ophthalmologist to get you to see straight. Too bad its not that simple for the rest of your kind.

  3. I don't know, but since we have already far surpassed that number, I guess it doesn't really matter what the exact number was, does it?

  4. I guess just one... ah- huh- humm...

    ------------------

PS Independ...  where is this march?  I'd like to show my support!

    -----------------

I've always been pro- international adoption, especially from Guatemala Gaia--  no hiding that...

    -----------------

    So...  WHERE's the march?!?!?!?  Don't

  5. You are confused.  It has nothing to do with intolerance.  It has to do with support of the children in your own country that have no home, no family.

You are already paying for them as a citizen of the country.  There are thousands here of ALL COLORS, RACES, ETHNIC BACKGROUNDS, with no family.

That's the point.  It is not about hating international adoptions.  It is simply the fact that there are thousands of children right here that need help.

  6. I do agree with Looney Toons.

As someone who would have ended up as a ward of the State instead of adopted by my parents because they almost did not let the adoption go through due to my mother`s heart condition --

and back in the 1970s there would not have been as many parents waiting in the wings because of the stigma of adoption which then was basically announcing to the world you were infertile:

I agree that until the tide of American children waiting in foster care for a forever home is diminished that international adoptions by Americans should be severely limited.

  7. Independant

  8. If you need to ask, apparently more. :P

  9. One is enough.

  10. Oh Googly, that must have taken so much courage to admit!  I'm tearing up here.  It's so fabulous to see you taking ownership for something.  *sniff*

But, alas, I'd have to disagree.  There are so many others just like you.  I'm proud of you, though.  So, so proud.
