And what was it you achieved? Basically I have just entered an art competition & found out I am no longer in the running. But for some reason I feel compelled to keep at it (art) and not give up. Just curious of your experiences with failure & success...

  1. I started playing guitar when I was 12, but up until I was 16 or so I had problems with teachers. I had to go through two teachers to get to the one I've been with for almost three years. What kept me going was my yearning to actually learn and play a very complex instrument.

Don't question why you want to keep going with art, you know deep down that you have a passion for it and that is what's driving you to keep going.

  2. I didn't counted my failures but I look forward the achievement  of my goal.

  3. It all depends on what you consider a failure. Because one may consider "failure" to be nothing more then a learning experience.

It also depends on what your own definition of success is.

If you have a passion for something there is no "failure" and success is your passion for it.
