How many feet do you need to put in 10 pool table and have space between them and the wall, in a room.

Billiard, Question, for the people who knows the business best. (4'5" by 8 feet) table. what sqart feet would someone need to have to put in 10 pool tables, with space around them for people to walk around them,.. with an 52" cue stick to used... lets see who knows the billiards.... looking for a good answer..

  1. It depends on the configuration, but let's assume 5 tables by 2 tables since it works out evenly that way. Just to round off, let's also say you want 5 feet on each side for wall clearance and 5 feet between the tables. That's plenty of space to walk through.

    So on one side, you could have 2 tables x 4.5ft + 2 * 5ft for the walls + 5ft in between for 24 feet. On the other side, you have 5 tables * 8ft + 2 * 5ft for the walls + 4 * 5ft in between for 70 feet. 1680 sq ft all together.

    Or, you could have 2 tables * 8ft + 2 * 5ft for the walls + 5ft in between for 31 feet. That goes with 5 tables * 4.5ft + 2 * 5ft for the walls + 4 * 5ft in between for 52.5 feet. 1627.5 sq ft.

    Either way, you can figure out the ballpark number, but you could shrink it a tad if you shorten some of the spacing and only want to allow for a 52" cue. But leave room for the backswing ;^)
