  1. 1 Betta fish is all you could put in it. You should still consider getting a small heater.

  2. A good rule to go by is for every gallon you have an inch of fish to work with. Something to keep in mind is fish growth. If you stick to fish that are one inch in length now are they going to get bigger or are they full-size already? If they're going to get bigger then you would consider getting a bigger tank because once they start growing they've gotten too big for the tank. I hope this helps!

  3. One inch per gallon is a basic rule that really only applies to tiny, slim-bodied fish. The only thing I'd put in that tank is a betta. And a heater might be good, but its also a very small tank, so it might cook the guy.

  4. No heater, No filter, No fish.

A 2 gallon is pretty much too small for anything, even a betta would feel cramped. Maybe a few ghost shrimp, but they would need filtered, matured and heated.

  5. 1 paradise fish.  Similar to bettas but don't require the higher water temps that bettas do best in.

You might consider cherry or ghost shrimp instead.

  6. if you are not planning on putting in at least a small filter, then no fish can comfortably live in there. if you add a small filter, and if you add a heater then a betta fish. other than that nothing can live in there, except maybe a pond snail lol!

  7. Depending on what size of fish you are purchasing, around 2-4 fish would be alrite.

I have a three gallon, and I have 10 very small fish in there right now.
