Obama's flip-flop, on the other hand, is purely about self-interest. He promised to accept public financing before he knew he could raise more money from donors. Now that he can raise twice as much from donors as Uncle Sam would give him if he forswore private donations, of course he's pursuing the bigger bucks. What's more troubling is Obama's list of flip-flops is so limitless, he's beginning to sound like he tailors his position to whichever audience he's addressing at the moment. When he spoke to an AIPAC meeting a couple of weeks back, he said he supports Israeli control of Jerusalem. The next day, trying to placate angry Arab supporters, Obama said "negotiators" should work out the contentious Jerusalem issue.

  1. don't forget about his destitute brother who lives on less than a dollar a month. if he doesn't care about him; can we trust him to be our president?

does he have a conscience ?

  2. he is gaining on McCain with the flip flopping, only difference is when McCain does it he has "been enlightened" and Obama is berated as being a flip flopper.

  3. Neither one of these examples bother me quite as much as

"The most important thing is for us to find Osama bin Laden. It is our number one priority and we will not rest until we find him." - G.W. Bush, 9/13/01 ...

"I don't know where bin Laden is. I have no idea and really don't care. It's not that important. It's not our priority." - G.W. Bush, 3/13/02 ...

  4. With regard to the answer above about Bush getting Bin Laden, we still haven't rested so I don't get it.

O by this point most folks know, is willing to say anything to get elected.  The problem he has, or one of them, is that if you tell the truth and say what you really mean, you don't have to stumble and hem and haw...all he does is hem and haw cause he is so busy trying to remember what he is SUPPOSED to say to get votes that he says nothing. c.
