  2. The Sears Tower in Chicago was the world's tallest building when it was built in 1973. Today it is the tallest building in North America.

    Location: Chicago, Illinois, USA

Architect: Bruce Graham, Skidmore, Owings and Merrill (SOM)

    Year: 1973

    Height: 442 meters / 1,450 feet

    Sears Tower - about us.

Standing at 1,450 feet and 110 stories high, Sears Tower is the tallest building in North America

  3. 110 floors at 1373 ft it has been the tallest building in North America since 1973

  4. 108 to 110 depending upon who you ask. The tallest restroom in the world is located on the 103 floor of the Sears Tower. It is approximately 1,353 feet above street level. The Tower Race is held once a year, I believe.

  5. The tower has 108 stories as counted by standard methods, though the building owners count the main roof as 109 and the mechanical penthouse roof as 110.
