  1. 8.

    BC Lions

    Calgary Stampeders

    Edmonton Eskimos

    Saskatchewan Roughriders

    Winnipeg Blue Bombers

    Hamilton Tiger Cats

    Toronto Argonauts

    Montreal Alouettes

No, they only play each other. Although there was a time in the 80's when the CFL had American teams, but they all folded.

  2. The nine that were mentioned by the person above me. Lots more if you add in CIS (University).

No but Hamilton used to play Buffalo a few time a while ago. There were a few other exhibition games like that.

  3. OK, let's get this straight.

In the Canadian Football League (professional), there are 8 teams, all based in Canada. From 1993-1995, there were as many 7 additional teams based in the United States playing under CFL rules. This turned out to be a disaster, as they all folded due to lack of funds and general interest (with the exception of the Baltimore Stallions who moved to Montreal and became the Alouettes).

Anyways, the answer you're looking for is 8 professional teams (CFL), 27 university teams (CIS), and countless high school teams, none of which have played against American teams since 1995.

  4. Canada has hundreds of football teams from pro to college to high school to private teams. No they don't play Americans because rules for the sport are different and so is the game.
