  1. If you are shooting the frames to be projected on a cine projector 12 frames per second is the basic (shows at 24 frames per second, so 2 frames for each drawing). To add realism be sure that your movement doesn't start or finish abruptly, when someone raises their hand the first movements accelerate from stationary to average moving speed – so if the hand is at rest and has to move to a full stretch in one second, rather than draw the beginning and end movements and divide the rest into ten equal sections, make the first and last 3 drawings with less movement.
