How many full length movies can you put on a 30GB ipod?

Just wondering because im going on holiday and flight is 10 hours.

using dvd shrink you can compress to a very small size. I compress to 54% and its perfect on my 42 inch tv

that is about 3.9 gb

so if you compressed to 10% then it would be about 1 gb meaning you could get  about 30 movies on there.

never seen it compressed to 10% but check it out

It would depend on how compressed they are!  Compress the more and they will be smaller so you will fit more on, but the picture quality will be lower.

I Actually Have No Idea. But I Have Like 10 Movies. Saw 4, Sweeney Todd, Jumper, Hitman, Meet the Spartans, 300, South Park Bigger Longer And Uncut And Afew More. And I Have Every Episode Of Family Guy. Every Episode Of South PArk, Series 1 Of The Mighty Boosh, Series 1 Of Afro Samurai. And Up To 6GB Of Music. It All Fits Onto My 30GB Video. Hopt This Gave You A Rough Idea Of What you Can Get Onto It.

Depends on the format of the movies. For example a full movie in RMVB format takes around 300-400 mb so you can count yourself it will give you around 100 movies, then if youre looking for avi, mpg or mpeg4 formats the size of the movies can vary from around 700 - 1500 mb so that lowers the number of movies - alot. But you must first check what formats your ipod can read. then you will see.
