How many gallons of paint will it take to paint the OUTSIDE of a standard cape ( size is1200 ft inside)?

Also if you know how many gallons, and can you also give me any tips ? Our home is a dark brown now and peeling like crazy, I was planning on painting it a dark green with beige trim, using a pressure washer to remove most of the peeling paint and a sprayer to apply the primer to the house and then the paint...should I cover with trash bags then tape windows? should I paint trim last? any other pointers? house has half dormers up on second floor with windows. How long will this take one person to do? a week a month?

A pressure washer is fine to remove most of the paint,but you must fill the holes left in the old paint and sand down (to smooth)all the edges of the old paint before priming.Or it will look terrible(you will see the holes).

When you go to the paint store they will be able to estimate how much you will need but it would be best to primer first also.
