  1. Depends on the flower. If it lives for just a few months not many. If it lives for years it would obviously get more.

    Also it depends on the environment. If it is in an area where there is a lot of water it will take in more water than in a desert-like climate.

    So unfortunately, I don't have an estimate.


  2. Only what is required to survive. If the water is available. Different species require different amounts, more in the spring when they are actively growing. Less after flowering. Imposable to answer your question without knowing exactly which flower you are referring to.
