How many gallons of water should one guppy have?

  1. Realistically it's hard to maintian a tank less than about 5 gallons. No problem with putting 5 or 6 guppies in that if it's set up and cycled properly.

    But that doesn't mean you can keep one guppy in one gallon of water, heating, filtering and keeping the tank running is just too tricky.

    The larger the tank, the more stable and easy to maintain it becomes. A good beginner tank is 15-20 gallons and you can fit quite a few guppy sized fish in that.

  2. for guppies use one inch per gallon thats about 2 gallons each

  3. doesnt matter how much water u have. just have enough water so the guppy can swim around. and depend where u put the guppy? if a 1 gallon i add the water till the top . if its a bowl just have enough to swim . and nothin wont happens to it.
