the 1 inch per gallon rule is BS, and doesn't apply to most of the fish

if you want to keep mollies, a 10 gallon tank is a must

they get way to big for a 5 gallon tank

The rule is, two inches of fish per gallon of water, so technically for a Molly of adult size,you would need about 1.5 gallons of water.
