After looking at their schedule I see three games they will probably lose, and two more that are most likely toss-ups. That being said, however, they could, if the winds of fate blow favorably, win one of the games they should lose  and both of the toss-ups. That would make them 10-2 at the end of the season. That's a good record with a new head coach, good enough to get them into a major non-BCS bowl.

I was one of the few to get to watch the spring game while i was back in Michigan visiting relatives. I currently live in Arkansas and the interesting thing about the new situation at Michigan, well Rich Rod was spotted playing golf in Fayettville this morning. Could this have anything to do with Ryan Mallet?

I expect Michigan should win 7 games this season.  Rich Rodriguez is a good coach and his system has been succesful.  The problem is that the Wolverines have some tough games early in the season and won't have much time to get comfortable in the new system before they are being tested.  Weekes 4 and 5 they have Wisconsin and Illinois.  Both teams are top 25 teams and will test Michigan.  After that they have a softer schedule including MSU and Northwestern coming to the big house.  They should be 7-4 when they head to Ohio State.  They should get a bowl bid and have a winning record which I would consider a success with their current situation.

They lost a lot of talent and don't have a quarterback. Add in breaking in a totally new system, I don't expect much from them this year.

with all the unproven talent at key positions, - QB - RB - O LINE-  and a defense who lost starters to graduation not the draft.

this is going to be a tough year, even teams like Michigan St and Purdue are gowning to push them this year. they are ranked 24th in the nation, but really? ya think!!  7-5 and they make a crappy bowl
