GNVQ is like a vocational GCSE, to put it very simply

GCSE - General Certificate of Secondary Education

GNVQ - General National Vocational Qualification

(vocational = relating to a job ratehr than academic)

3 GCSEs. But Maths and English Language are the main ones you need Cs in so well done. Your teachers might tell you this about ICT GNVQ but they do it to boost their grade averages. Sorry, not 4 GCSEs.
