How many girls out there are actually afraid of spiders?

I really don't get the whole fear of spiders thing. How can you be afraid of something that is smaller than your thumb. Sometimes, I think girls just pretend to be afraid of spiders around guys so that they can feel like they are being protected when the guy gets rid of them. I've done that, but honestly, I do not find spiders to be even remotely scary. Would you scream if you saw a spider and nobody was around to hear you?

I am not afraid of the big ones, but crab spiders creep me out because when you startle them they curl up and remind me of the girl who crawls out of the well in The Ring.

So those in particular scare me, but not because they're spiders. And I would never scream about a bug, but I might jump if I saw one crawling on me, just because it feels weird.

I only recall myself screaming because of a spider once...But that was because I was cleaning under my daughters bed, and I picked up her old diaper bag, and a big brown spider fell on my leg...

The only issues I have with spiders is them biting my daughter..

I'm the one to kill them usually because my husband is the one whos scared of them hahaha.

I am a girl and I am actually deathly afraid of spiders. I really don't know why I am though. I will literally run out of a room when I see a spider even when I'm by myself. I guess it's because the thought of them touching me is kind of creepy. I think it's stupid if girls have to pretend to get guys.
