How many girths does a westurn saddle have?

I need to know how many girths a western saddle has, sorry if i spelt anything wrong!

  1. in western lingo, it's called the cinch. only one. sometimes there is a rear cinch that is loose that keeps the back end of the saddle from popping up, like when roping and a calf is pulling against the rope tied to the horn.  


  2. ....team roping (western) has 1 front and 1 back.......sometimes i have seen people just ride w/ one when they are trial riding or what ever else they do....but for sport they use 2...just depends on what you are doing...hope i helped

  3. like can crasher said-if they are used for sport then most the time they have 2.  If they are just trail riding or just riding around then i guess they would only need one.  But for the most part they have 2.  if you can see in my pic there is 2.  looks kinda funny w/ only 1.  good luck
