How many goldfish can you put in a 10 gallon tank?

I'm planning on getting goldfish but i need to know how many i can fit in a ten gallon tank and if i cant fit any which is what i have been told what is the minimum tank size to keep goldfish?

1 Goldfish.  And allow the tank to increase by 10 gallons for every goldfish you add.

You can not keep goldfish in a tank that small. As I said before. They just get too large and are too messy. Goldfish were originally bred to be pond fish. 2-3 fullgrown goldfish would need no smaller then a 55 gallon tank. Any more, and you would have to go up accordingly. Remember, your regular fantails and fancys will get 12 inches long and as big around as dinner plates.

Some good fish for ten gallon tanks are minnows, danios, tetras, and guppys. All of these fish stay small, and you could reasonably do 10-12 of them in a 10 gallon tank. Just remember, all of these fish are schooling fish, and need to be in schools of three or more

All those fish will do wonderful in a ten gallon.

Just remember:

1. tanks do NOT stunt the growth of fish. They just kill them

2. The one inch per gallon rule is stupid and pointles. Like saying you could fit a 10 inch oscar in to a 10 gallon tank

3. Goldfish are one of the hardiest species of fish out there, and can live over 40 years. If someone tells you they die easily, or that they kept a "healthy" goldfish for almost 2 years, they are probably not the best person to get advice from

White cloud minnows they are tropial and cold water fish but they prefer cold water ... Also danios are in the same family as then so Zebra/Leopard danios will be good... i say about 10 max in a 10 gallon tank.... they are very active in day and some in the night to...
