    So if the atomic mass of nicotine is 162.2 amu, then 1 mol will have a mass of 162.2 g

    So you can always calculate the number of moles in a substance by the equation

    moles = mass / molecular weight.

    Therefore mass = moles x molecular weight

    = 0.0200 mol x 162.2 g/mol

    = 3.24 g
