How many grams are you allowed in your suitcase on a aircraft?

Where going away and my mum has lots of stuff to take shes worried she will have to pay charge and i wonderd if anyone knew how many grams because she has alot of stuff

It depends on the airline.  Go to their website and look under baggage restrictions.  

The standard is usually 50 pounds (22.5 kilograms) per bag; most airlines do not have a weight limit for carry on baggage.

The rules change depending on the ailine, the country you travel to/from , or depending on whether its domestic or international travel etc.

Checked in Baggage limit is usually in the range of 20-25 KG ( around 50 to 70 lb)

"Carry on" or the "hand baggage" or "cabin baggage" as it is called needs to sastisfy the airlines rules for dimensions ( length/breadth etc.. required to make sure the bag fits in the airplane's cabin luggage compartment)

Carry on weight limit is usually betn 5 to 8 KG.

Apart from one carry on, women can carry a purse , also a laptop is not considered part of cabin baggage limit.
