How many grams of NaCl would you need in 1 liter of water to make a soultion that is 2M (2M/liter)?

I'm a little confused on how to calculcate molarity. Please help.

  1. 2M means 2mol per liter.

    so if you have a liter of water, you need to add 2 mol of NaCl (salt).

    Now that you know the amount of mol you need. You want the amount of grams. So the only thing you need to do is to look up how much a mol of NaCl weighs. And multiply it by 2, 'cause you've got 2 mol.

    Done.
