I am asking this question for my mum, who is 47yrs and a full time grandma to a 6yr old boy. I know there are quite a few women out there in similar situation it would be good to get some more info on it. It's difficult at times because all her children have pretty much left home my youngest sister is in year 11 and goes to boarding school, and now she has a wild 6 yr old boy who has just started school and she cant seem to keep up with his demands or even get him to bed at night or school on time.

  1. i live with my parents and my mom watches my kid part time for me when i go to work. I know it must be hard on her and i defently appreciate all the help she is giving me.

  2. I know what your mum is going thru I am in the same situation, I am bringing up my granddaughter of 7years and it is very hard on the rest of the family.

Your mum is not alone there are about 40 000 grandparents registered and unregistered to the government looking after grandkids. Kids are difficult to bring up your mum has to listen to all the rules it is not the same as her own kids and now the rules are changing and kids have rights.

I praise your mum it is a thankless task love is the only word for people like your mum and myself**
