  1. The minimum cage size for 2 should be  7.5 sq ft

The preferred size is 10.5 sq feet   which is about 30" x 50". The bigger the better.

Rabbits are similar to guinea pigs but they need more injections and certain types can be less friendly than others. Guinea pigs are a lot nicer.

Hamsters are nice as well, but you might not want a pet that small.

  2. No, too small.

    Look at http://guineapigcages.com

  3. Definitely get at least 2. Guinea pigs are very sociable animals and will get upset and depressed if kept alone.

Even splitting them up for a few minutes will cause lots of distressed squeaking and searching.

You will need a cage the size other people have specified and should also get a run, preferably with a hutch or 'home' attached so that they can go outside during the day, but have the choice of sitting in a safe, inside area when they are in the run.

A lot of people keep rabbits and guinea pigs together, but this isn't really advisable as rabbits are susceptible to infections which they can they pass onto the guinea.

Guinea pigs are great pets as they are relatively cheap and easy to care for, are extremely docile unlike other rodents such as  hamsters or rabbits and are very affectionate-and chatty!

  4. you need a bigger cage for two and i would recommend getting 2 cuz they like company when you're not around. it should be at least 2 feet wide by 4 feet long. bigger if you don't have a safe play area outside of the cage for them. good luck

  5. Each guinea pig should have a minimum of 2 square feet in it's cage. **Never use a wire mesh bottomed cage, as the piggy could get a foot stuck in the mesh** Try to find a cage with a removeable bottom and a hinged top. Aquariums can be used however the large size can be cumbersome to move and clean. **Do not use cedar shavings for bedding** Aspen or pine shavings, and carefresh or yesterday's news make for great bedding. However, the aspen shavings must be changed more often because it doesn't control odor very well.

rabbits, definitely go well with guinea pigs.

  6. i wold reccomend a rabbit they are kinda similer but i should if i were you go for the guinea pig they are easy to look after and rabbits need alot of injections so the cage dimensions are good for two i wouldnt get one it will get lonely plus do you have a run on the grass so they can have some grass area aswell so then they have a bigger area aswell.

    good luck
