How many hairs does the average spider have on it?

I can assure you no one has ever stopped to count all the hairs on a single spider, no one known at least.  It would probably be in the thousands though, and vary with the individual of a species.

Plus, new world (From the Americas) tarantulas use specialized hairs as defense, they kick them off and they will cause nasty rashes.
