  1. depends on how big the cage is!

  2. What kind of hamsters are they?

  3. Think if you were the hamster would you like to share with one or have the cage to yourself.

  4. 2 or 3

  5. Dwarfs like to be in pairs. Goldens can be left singled or doubled. It all depends on which one you have. Talk to your vet orrrr the pet shop workers.

  6. Depends on cage size and type of hamster.

Most store bought cages are too small. I'd only reccomend keeping multiple hamsters in a bin cage.

Syrians - ONE, ONLY ONE to a cage or they will fight and most likely kill each other (this is the same hamster someone called a "golden"). These are solitary animals.

The various dwarf species - Chinese, Robovorski, Winter White, Campbells - must be kept with their own species only. This can be in pairs or mores - largely dependent on cage size and individual personalities; although, there are some differences to consider in each species. These are social animals, with various degrees of "how social" they are somewhat species dependant.

Something to remember - you MUST have a separate cage available  for EACH dwarf hamster in a colony/paired situation. Sometimes they will decide they can't live together for no apparent reason.

You also want to make sure that you keep a single gender only together. The different dwarf species tend to be able to exist better in certain combinations (f-f and m-m) dependant on the species, so do your research for your type o hamster.

  7. u should NEVER have more than one hamster in a cage. hamsters are extremely territorial and like to be alone anyways. if u put males together they will fight to the death. females will squabble and is usually not bad, just a few non-life threatening scratches,  but if it continues death can occur. if u really want to put hamsters in the same cage the ONLY exception would be to get a few females from the SAME litter and put them together. that way few squabbles will break out. males will kill each other no matter what so dont even think about putting males together. and dont put males with females unless ur an experienced hamster breeder. because hamsters breed very fast. practically a few days after birth females are ready to breed again. by the end of a month u could end up with at least 20+ babies. long story short ONLY get one hamster!!

  8. I had two hamsters, but each had to have their own cage because when you put the two together they'd rip eachother to shreds.

  9. a big one 2 or 3, but no more than 4 in any cage becasue they will think that they r crowded and the might kill each other,     .............................wat do u mean by, "none"?????

  10. only one- they will kill each other.

  11. depends how big the cage is. if the cage is medium sized 2 should be fine. three would need a larger cage. always make shure they like eachother first.
