How many handcuffs can a cop carry at one time?

while they're one duty and on their person? is there more in his squad car?

I usually carry 2 pair of cuffs.  I'll also carry flex cuffs in the car.

From my experience, they carry one pair but have another very accessible one in the squad car and plastic ties or more cuffs elsewhere in the car

i personaly carry 2 on me myself as does they guy im rideing with  plus a back up extra set in the truck we are in

Ive always seen them with no less than 2-3 real cuffs on them or in the squad, but Im sure they have some sort of ankles ones in the trunk along with the plastic zip tie looking things.  I dont think there is a law as to how many they HAVE to carry.

There is one officer I work with who carries 4 pair on him and has 3 more in his squad car and also carries leg and belly irons in the car as well.

As many as is needed, in practical terms, usually two pairs.  Plastic flex  cuffs are easy  to store in the trunk, for mass arrests.
