  1. no i never seen them, pictures would help.

  2. Well if you think Matt Damon and Pamela Anderson look like Asians then sure. They have Finnish ancestors.

  3. I have never been there but did notice that.  I think they were lap landers or Sami.  They really aren't that far from Eskimos or some other northern group so they might have interbreed in the past.  Some odd looking girl singer on MTV made me notice it a few years ago.

  4. 1. Unlike most other European languages, the language --Finnish (Suomen) -- is not an Indo-European language.  It is related to Saami, Estonian, and  Hungarian. (Possibly Turkish as well)  These languages are in the Uralic family. The great linguist and fantasy writer ("Lord of the Rings") J. R. R. Tolkien, who was a professor of language at Oxford, thought that Finnish was an especially beautiful language and is supposed to have based his linguistic  invention "elvish" on Finnish.

    2. The Finns are a people whose origin is unknown. The original inhabitants of Finland were the ancestors of the Sami, the nomads formerly known as Laplanders. (Only about 2500 Sami (or Saami) inhabit the Arctic lands of the north today.

    3. In the Middle Ages, Finns were considered Jonahs and wizards, and were not popular as shipmates.

    4. Many Russians and Hungarians look Asian as well.

  5. It might help you to know that the Finns might not look like Asians but vice versa.

At one point the trade system between Europe and Asia was so vast and important that the races started to intermingle, which is why they have recovered the remains of Asians with red hair and light eyes.

  6. I think you are mostly referring to Sami people who live in Finland but haven't go similar DNA structure as the so called main folk in Finland. As a matter of fact, NONE of the European folk have got their kind of DNA! Where the Sami people came from, is a mystery.
