how many men have died playing afl?

I am pretty sure no one has died playing afl. They may of died from injuries from it in the hospital or something but not actually in the middle of the game. Well you could probably search google and find out a lot of info but I am like 99.99% sure that no one has ever died playing afl.

As far I can remember, I have not seen and heard any player died while playing footy (AFL). There has been a few severe injuries that have ended footy careers and 1 instance where a player has been left paralysed. But in the  reserves and other leagues there has  been a case where a player has suffered a heart attack and died.

I don't think any have died playing in the Australian Football League but a while back an amateur did die because he had his throat stepped on during a tackle however these things are very unlikely.
