Question:

How many headshots do I need? ?

I know that I need a theatrical and commercial one. I am wondering if I really only need those two, or whether it would be better to have more? I am 18 and petite, so I think most of my roles would either be "s**y girl" types or "teen/college" types. I was thinking I could have one theatrical shot that has a slightly sexier feel and another that's more casual/young looking, plus a more vanilla commercial shot. Thoughts?

  1. At least three and make sure at least one is black and white

  2. You need Three head shots. Two close-ups with light or no make up with a Smile and No smile. Then a full-body shot in something form-fitting but not super tight.

  3. Talent scouts aren't looking for sexiness, they are looking for cleanliness. I would do three headshots, two close-up, one with teeth showing, one without. Then do a nice, full-body shot with form-fitting clothing. Hope this helps!!

  4. Well, I would say you're on the right track.  If you really feel you convey that look, that's what's probably best to go with.  From what I've been told, actresses who give off that kind of ingenue look really need to play that up, because after that, like in their 30's is one those character parts come along of which you speak.
