I actually have worked my azz off to get ahead and it has paid off, you know why?  If you ask anyone at the top you don't need to azz kiss anyone, what you need to do is overachieve everyday and make sure that your bosses know that it is you that is doing the work, let it drop in conversation that you have completed all your tasks and some of other peoples tasks and your hoping that there is more for you to do.  Sometimes let them know that you have too much down time and you need to feel like your are being used to your full potential!  IT works!!!!

Until Bush's tax cuts I was definitely getting less of my earnings than I should. At least they took the edge off a little bit. If Obama wins, good Lord, they'll probably pass a law saying that anyone that has a job has to adopt a person that is too lazy to work and pay them to do nothing to boot.

I have to work my azz off to keep my head above water.  It's the American Middle-Class way.

Isn't this case of life on the whole. Very little turns out as we expect. Not to say there aren't wonderful surprises to be had in the process.

My husband and I worked our butts off. We never inherited anything. That's why he don't vote Republican. They inherit their money..we worked for ours

Heck, isn't that the truth.  just look at our 401Ks. The stock market is in a free fall half of the time because of a world that is changing. All morality and values have been replaced with unchecked greed, which makes prices go up and which curtails our profit and disposable income. I can hardly wait for Obama to be come President and the economy gets even worse under his socialist plan.

I have had people lie take credit for my work, You have to speak up for example I had this boss and they would have me do all the inventory clean stock and then give me the day off when the district manager and vp would come in knowing they were coming in and telling everyone except me and then telling them they did all the work but we should still keep joaquin cause he does a fair job, lying straight through there teeth just so i could be kept down while they got a raise or promotion. Bull huh, That when I decided to really get to know who and what company to look out for, honesty a big issue

Two full time jobs for 8 years and paid for my kids college. I have worked and enjoyed life and I now have everything my grandmother wanted when she arrived from Germany at 16 years old as a servant girl.

Yes, it has happened, and truthfully...........people LEARN by their mistakes, and people end up better in the long run learning these lessons.  FACT

I believe I have worked hard to accomplish the goals I set, and I also believe that I have had some wonderful opportunities that I was standing at the door and waiting when the door was opened.  Nothing was handed to me except love, compassion, the Word of God and great teaching and instruction.  I had a mother and family who worked hard to HELP put us through college; they went to college and I made sure my own daughter had the opportunity to attend college. I learned responsibility and accountability.  Not only that, but the Lord provided me with the desires of my heart in addition to what I attended college to do.  I had a wonderful 10 year entertainment career, singing, television and movies,;I had a daughter that doctors said I'd never have, I was married and divorced -friendly,  I made few enemies (that I know of), I was given tools to desire to give back to my community and church, I love my life and I love people.  I am working a job that I absolutely love! I teach kids everyday- 5-8th grade. I play piano for my church and I sing.  I have no complaints.  I have lived a great life.  This is not to say I've not had some downs, but I look at every negative situation as a challenge and an opportunity for me to learn something.  Right now, I'm living the good life. I owe no man a debt.  I share all that I have.  I try to encourage people on a daily basis and bring good news to people.  When I wake up in the morning, I am thankful and grateful for another Lord's day.  I am at peace with myself and the world.  Yes, I worked hard, but my return was even 'more' than I expected.

I work my a.s.s off and enjoy life and don't buy c**p I can't afford. I have built a nice sized nest egg too.
