  1. No, Australian's aren't wooses, Aussies defend themselves without hiding behind a gun like a gutless wimp.

  2. no we dont want our country winding up like the US thank you very much. we have governed our country the way it is for over a 100 years without us having guns. We never had guns in the first place

  3. I think that is mental. Why introduce guns when it is a peaceful country? Should New Zealanders get uzi's? What the h**l for?

    Go watch Bowling For Colombine.

  4. The Bowling for Columbine comment was in very poor (and ignorant) taste. Google some about that movie and you will find discussion about the numerous falsities the movie employed to make its "point."

At any rate, the studies that have gone into the Australian buy-back program of 1994 are inconclusive as far as how the program affected firearm violence in Australia. It's likely, however, that the downward trend of firearm violence Australia was exhibiting prior to, and through, the program, was not accelerated with any statistical significance, with the program.

But one thing is certain: The buy-back program costs Australians a fortune, with no statistical indicia to point to demonstrating the cost-effectiveness of the program.

In a society that values economic efficiency, as well as liberty, the program would be scrapped as soon as possible.

  5. Took them off the shooters and left the crims with them.
