Question:

How many history CLEP tests do I need to take before I finish with all my History credits.?

I'm not a History major or anything like that. Just need to know the basic amount of credit hours you need to not have to take anymore history classes. Thanks :)

  1. As the previous poster stated, all colleges are different.  How many history credits you need will depend not only on the college, but probably also on what you're majoring in.  Your best bet is to check directly with the college to find out their requirements and CLEP policy.  The official site for CLEP information is College Board, but be certain to check with your college before taking any CLEP tests so that you don't waste your time and money.  Good luck!

  2. This really depends on what university you are attending.  I would first check to see if your college even accepts CLEP credit.  This site I came across provides a pretty thorough list of schools.

    I would then check your schools website and/or talk to a counselor.  I would hate to see you pass an exam and not get any credit!
