  1. Depends on how many foul balls you wanna hit :)

  2. Maybe I'm just being stupid but 6 because when the bases r loaded the guy hits a single and the runner is out at home or is that a fielders choice?

  3. 5 hits

1st player gets a single. Attempts to steal a base, doesn't make it, gets called out. Out #1

2nd player does the same thing. Out #2

The next 3 players get singles. bases loaded.

the 6th guy gets a single and forces the man on third to score.

If you count that last hit then it would be 6

  4. 5 i would explain but the guy above me already did it

  5. The answer may be six.  Batter 1 gets ahit, out trying to steal.  Ditto batter 2.  Next three batters get singles, loading the bases.  Next batter hits a ball that strikes a runner that is in fair ground.  I think that the ruling is that the runner is out, but the batter is credited with a hit.

I checked the rules and it says that it should be a hit, so I'll go with Six.

  6. Six. Three singles to load the bases then three straight outfield assists (the hitter still is credited with a hit).

Why in the world would this answer get two thumbs down?

  7. The answer is six. You can have three singles to start the inning and then the next three batters hit balls that strike a runner resulting in an interference call. When a runner is hit by a batted ball and called out for interference, the batter-runner is awarded a single.

  8. 6

  9. 5.

That one guy pretty much summed it up.

  10. 5 hits

  11. In one offensive half-inning, the batting team can have up to six hits without scoring a run.

It requires a rare play and a very difficult confluence of events. It may never have occurred in the major leagues. But, on paper, it could happen. Six hits, no runs scored.

    Old question.

  12. 3

    good question!
