36 holes total. They actually play an 18 hole final match & then an 18 hole championship match. The first 18 is to be televised on the golf channel & the second 18 will be on NBC. Match play is great on TV as there's only 2 players, so you pretty much see all of the shots that are hit.

It's difficult to tell with match play golf. The tournament could be decided in 28 holes, 30 holes or 40 holes. That's why the TV networks aren't keen on match play golf. With a regular PGA tournament you will normally have at least 18 holes to play on Sunday, barring inclement weather or a tie after 18 holes of play and the TV network can plan a time slot. But with match play it could be over early and then the commentators have to fill the last hour with the same bull they've already presented and by then the TV audience has already changed the channel.

They tee off at 10:00 EST on The Golf Channel for the first 18 holes and at 2:00 EST on NBC for the remaining holes.
