Traditionally it is 24 horses. It depends on the final nominations after the Saturday races when the final qualification races are completed. If less than 24 are nominated then all will get in.

24 runners is the maximum number they will allow to run, and as it is such a popular race I would say that the race will be full - baring last minute problems.
