How many host families have had a bad experience with the student you had living with you?

We had two brothers that stayed with us, it was great.  It was back when I was a kid in the 80's and we are still in touch.  The older brother died in a car accident, but the younger brother and I still email to this day.  If you wind up with a problem and are in a quality program they should help you work it out.  When I went to France they had drummed it into are heads that we were to be angels or else.

We were not a host family-however a exchange student that my son went to school with-his host family was going on vacation and his real parents wouldn't let him so with their permission and the permission of the organization-he stayed with us for a couple of weeks--I couldn't wait for him to leave--he was rude-expected us to do everything for him-acted as thought he didn't understand us or couldn't talk to us (which I know is not true and we have actually known him for awhile and the organizer even told us he understands)  he was jsut a brat--I know not all are that way--but we had considered it at one time--but after that-nope!
