There is no set amount of hours per day that you can legally work. There is a maximum working week of 48 hours and this can be averaged over a number of weeks. For example: you may have 2 weeks @ 60 hours per week then a third week @ 24 hours over the week and this is perfectly legal.

In saying that, there is a legal requirement to have at least an 11 hour break (rest period) between working days...so really, your working day can be no longer than 13 hours (inclusive of breaks).
