Play as long as you want, but take breaks often and go look outside for a few minutes to help avoid eyestrain.

Eyestrain will make your eyes sore and maybe burn a bit, but it isn't permanent either.

But, like using a computer , it is best to take breaks and let your eyes re-focus on distant objects.
