How many hours a week can someone who is 16 years old work?

I thought there was some law stating how many hours a week that someone under the age of 18 was legally allowed to work for an employer. Is this true, and if so, what is the number of hours?

(Also, if you could provide a website with the answer that would be really helpful)

in Pennsylvania (school out of session):

8 hours per day

44 hours per week

6 days per week

(school in session and enrolled in regular day school)

8 hours per day

28 hours per week

6 days per week

Depends on what state but in texas only part time and you cant work after 9pm on school nights
