  1. Take the French highspeed train Thalys (http://www.thalys.com/) from Paris to Cologne. It's about 4h for 100$. It's easy to get tickets on the Paris train station (Gard Nord).

In Germany book Cologne to Munich via http://www.bahn.de or onsite. Use the highspeed train 'ICE'. Expect another 5h and 100$.

  2. Travel time is 8.5 to 9.5 hrs, depends on train you choose and Paris departure station - Paris Nord or Paris Est.  You have the option to take trains with 0-2 connections.  Take the direct train, if you can.

Direct train from Paris Est to München Hbf/central train station: leaves at 06:41 and arrives at 15:16 or departure time of 10:43 and arrival of 19:16, both on an EC train. There are other times, but require a connection.  They are quicker than taking the Thalys and making a connection in another city. Cost is 112,60 euro, 2nd class, for the trip.

Or you can take a direct night train from Paris Est., departs 10:45 - 08:58 arrival. 60 euro ticket purchased on line (SNCF website), non-refundable, non-exhcangeable otherwise, it's 107 for euro normal adult fare, both fares are for a 2nd class seat, not a sleeper/couchette.
